![]() Given the staff, service and atmosphere, I will certainly return to this B&B on a future visit to Savannah. Lynette, the breakfast hostess and cook was spot with delicious and varied food items. "JB"insisted on carrying much of our travel bags from front desk to our room. If you encounter him, he will be very helpful to you as a guest. He is a "jack of many trades" and assists the B&B in many ways. ![]() Kelly is a great hostess and provided great nearby restaurant suggestions and the best daily social time treats and beverages. Others on the hotel staff were just as courteous, knowledgeable and professional as well. Our stay was bookmarked by great service and customer care - from the time we called and reached Nell to see if we could hve an early check-in to the great big smothering hug we received from Nell when we checked out. The staff sets a great atmosphere that allows an opportunity for guests to mingle, if you desire to do so. It is a about a mile from the river and nestled in a nice quiet part of Savannah - away from the heavy foot traffic of River and Bay streets. It's located two blocks from Forsyth Park and near many of the other historic squares. We had the best and warmest experience ever at this B&B. I recommend both Savannah and the Eliza Thompson House to any person looking for the most incredible and enchanting experience of their life. ![]() We were unsure of what to expect from a B&B and now we could not have imagined any other experience. The guests were also so great to get to know and helped to create such a warm environment. Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The house itself was a marvel, I felt as if I were in the middle of a fantasy. He would ensure dietary needs were met, and would even make you something special if you asked nicely. He genuinely took interest in his guests, by getting to know them during breakfast. He was the master behind breakfast, cocktails and dessert. Kelly had so many recommendations that were all perfect and truly strived to ensure our time in Savannah was wonderful. Kelly had the most bright smile at all times and was unbelievably helpful. Jay, was so helpful and friendly, we instantly felt welcome. The Eliza Thompson house was perfect for so many reasons. We cannot even begin to express how much we loved it. Cash is not accepted. For guests' safety, the property includes a smoke detector in all accommodation.This was our first trip to Savannah as well as our first time staying at a B&B.
